How should I pack for college?

I'm going away to college in two weeks and need to start packing...eventually. I'm going Northwestern so the weather during the winter will be grueling. Thing is, I'm the first in my family to go to college so I don't want to overpack or under pack. How much should I pack? Clothes and shoes?
