Will I need to mention a complete discharge or will it show up on a CRB check.?

I am 25. I want to work in social care with plans of going to university at some point. When I was 19 I was charged with ABH though it was in self defence and I did not actually harm anyone but the opposite party fabricated evidence which led me having to answer a plea, which I pleaded not guilty. The magistrates court forwarded my case to crown court who decided there was not enough evidence to go ahead with a trial. I was completly discharged with no warning or caution, I was simply free to go. I am extremely concerned that this will be with me forever and is going to jeopodise my future career. I don't know if im worrying over nothing. I am not sure though if its even relevant anymore considering I was completly let off. I don't know if this will always be on my record.
