Ex wife asking for alimony after 6 years of divorce, can she claim it?

Divorce was granted to my husband, but the financial portion was pending 6 years ago. Now after all this time ex wife wants alimony. I'm worried that Fl laws favors this woman and give her money she doesn't deserve. She left my husband and kids 7 years ago and did not even care to show up for the divorce court. Is that why judges leave financial portions pending to favor negligent people?
