If my boyfriend is VERBALLY ABUSIVE, what are the signs it will turn PHYSICAL?

Who cares about when/if he will get physically abusive down the road. He's already doing enough for you to end it. Have some self respect. Don't be a stupid child and wait for a loser to hit you before you leave him. Leave him now while you still can. Men should NEVER say stuff like that.
