Possible to ban mother-in-law from hospital?

Is it possible to have a person banned from the birthing wing of a hospital? I am pregnant, due in February. My mother-in-law is nothing but an alcoholic, who loves to cause trouble and drama (my husband agrees). We try to have no contact with her, and do not want her anywhere near us, or especially the baby. Her daughter recently had a baby, and told the nurses she did not want her mother present, but somehow got around that, and interrupted the joy of the birth, reeking of alcohol, and creating fights. Is there any way to give security her name, or make them check the names of everyone trying to enter into the hospital? I know it sounds terrible, but I do not want her anywhere near myself, my husband, and especially my child. Thanks!
