An old joke I don't understand?

This is a version of an old non-joke joke. Original version was something like: Two elephants are taking a bath, one asks for the soap, the other says, "No soap--radio!" Then everyone laughs, except for the person who is being told the "joke" who feels stupid for not getting the joke.
