How can I help my nephew..he is dyslexic. What skills can you share with me?

I suffer seeing him try to read and can't imagine what he must be enduring in secret. When he tries to read he breaks down and keeps his soft sobbing to himself as he lowers his chin to his chest. Its heartbreaking to see him suffer like this but I don't know what to do. School is no help; they just p him to the next grade.
