Is individualism contrary to becoming ego free or necessary to free society from collective ego?

None arise independently. When conditions are such that support it, we seem to appear, just as when they change, we seem to vanish. This it true for all phenomena. Whatever we may imagine that we do or choose, arises as a result of the whole.
